22 Weeks

I am now 22 weeks and 2 days pregnant.  Whats new?
Weight gain:  up about 10 lbs.
Maternity Clothes:  Yes, but thankfully still able to wear a few non-maternity items.
Stretch Marks:  Nada
Sleep:  I wake up every hour to readjust, and try and get comfortable.
Cravings:  Just food in general, my appetite has increased exponentially.
Belly Button:  Still a shallow innie.
Movement:  Baby has been much more active the past few days.  While watching True Grit yesterday Peanut was kicking up a storm, Melody tired to feel it, but she couldn't.
Best Moment of the Week:  All the energy I suddenly have!  Also the painters came finished up the nursery, pics to come...
What I Miss:  Well since Abita Strawberry brew came out this week, that's what I am missing.  I would really love to kick back with a few of those and some crawfish.  Luckily Kevin was very sweet and bought a case so that I can enjoy it this summer!
What am I Looking Forward To:  Getting the baby bedding!  All the fabric is in, and I am dropping it off for V at Louise's to get started on it.  I hope it turns out like I have pictured it!

In other news, they announced the Oscar nominations yesterday.  Every year we have an Oscar party with a small group of friends, and every year I come in last!  Well I have decided this year to actually try and see all the movies.  So far I have seen, The King's Speech, Social Network, The Kids are All Right &True Grit.  We are going to see Black Swan on Thursday.  I have a ways to go!  As always though I am just looking forward to the party!

I finally have uploaded some pictures from my new camera that Kevin bought me for Christmas!  Nothing too exciting, but I thought I'd post a few...

Here we have Kevin putting the crib together, I think he did a wonderful job!  Bishop was very curious during the whole process.  Bailey did not seem to care about it one bit.

And here is the awesome present Kelsey gave to Kevin for Christmas, we can't wait to find the perfect spot to hang it.
The painter is coming tomorrow I can't wait to see how the stripes we plan on painting turn out.  I will post the pictures as soon as its done!

Now here is the pic of my bump I have been promising...

After a very busy weekend of visiting with Ken & Karen, cleaning (I think nesting is starting to kick in), a lovely wedding shower for Anna & Scott, dinner with friends, church, lunch with Kyle & Rach, the kiddos and a special guest appearance by Pearce Miley, visiting and picking up baby gear from Rachel, errand running, and finally capped off by going to see No Strings Attached with friends, I am pooped!  It is time for bed now!

21 Weeks

After a wonderful, if wet weekend, its Monday again.  I really despise Mondays, especially dark and dreary ones like today.  It makes me wish I had today off, so I could curl up in bed with a good book and some hot chocolate. The good thing about Mondays is that I am one week closer to meeting our little one.

So today I am 21 weeks, lets see whats new.

Weight gain: Up 8 pounds

Maternity Clothes: yes, I have a feeling this section should be dropped as I will only be wearing maternity clothes from here on out.

Stretch Marks: Nada

Sleep:  Its been a little better.

Cravings: None really.  I am eating more sweets, but I wouldn't say I crave them.

Belly Button: Still an innie, but it is much more shallow.

Movement:  Oh yes.  I think Kevin felt it this weekend, but he couldn't feel all of the kicks, just one hard one.  Little one is definitley gaining strength in that department.

Best Moment this Week:  Friday night Kevin put the crib together.  Bishop was very interested on what was going on, I think he is sensing a change coming.  I was so nice getting the crib up, and all the other stuff out of the nursery.  I took a few pictures, but my computer currently has a virus, and I am the process of backing up all my files.  So as soon as I get that straightened out I will have some to post.

What I Miss:  Nothing really.  I had a great time celebrating Katy's Birthday this weekend.  Lucky Palace was delicious as always, and I was happy to just be able to taste some of the amazing wines that were opened in celebration of the day of her birth!

What am I looking forward to:  Getting the fabrics together for the crib bedding.  I finally found one that I LOVE, and everything is starting to come together around that fabric.  I was lucky to have some help from a friend in figuring out which fabric to put where.  I am excited to see it all!!

Like I said I really do have a few photos to post, and hopefully my computer will be good as new in a day or two!

20 Weeks!

Today I am halfway through my pregnancy, and I can hardly believe how time has flown!

Weight Gain:  My educated guess is up 9 pounds. (I forgot to weigh myself this am)

Maternity Clothes:  Oh yes.  I love my new maternity jeans.  (thanks to my sweet husband who purchased them for me)

Stretch Marks:  None so far.

Sleep:  Not so much.  I take forever to fall asleep and then I feel like I toss and turn all night.

Food Cravings:  Greek Yogurt with Honey

Belly Button:  Still an innie, but its getting more and more shallow.

Movement:  Yes!  Feeling baby a few times a day, and every night when I lay down to go to bed.  Still can't feel it from the outside though.

Best Moment this week:  Finally feeling baby, and knowing for sure that is what it is.

What do I miss:  Honestly I'd really like a Superior Margarita.

What am I looking forward to?  Kevin feeling baby kick.

I'll try to post a belly pic this week!

Cotton Bowl & Shopping Excursion

Kevin and I headed to Dallas on Friday, and it was a great weekend get away, well except for the drive back Sunday (I'll get to that).
Friday we stopped in Longveiw on the way and picked up the crib!  I can't wait to put it together!
Kevin met up with his Dad and brothers to go to the Cotton Bowl and watch the Tigers dominate those silly Aggies. I was without a ticket, and so I drove to Fort Worth to have dinner with Michael and Shereen and some of their friends.  I even made it out to a couple of bars with them before heading back towards Dallas.
I ended up swinging (using the word loosely) by the stadium and picking up Kevin before heading to hotel.  I don't think we were in bed before one am, and boy did I pay for it in the morning.
The sleepless night was easily forgotten during our Saturday of Shopping for Baby Payne/Peanut/Byorkin.  We bought some cute little onesies and p.j.s, as well as a few toys.  We also did some shopping for mommy!  I finally bought some maternity jeans, and I am in heaven.  So much more comfortable!
Saturday night we had dinner with Kevin's best friend from Baylor, Daniel, and his wife, Cornelia.  It was great to catch up and I really hope we are all able to do it again sooner than later.
Sunday we were piddling around Dallas before leaving until both our parents sufficiently scared us enough to get on the road.  We really didn't think it would get too bad.  But let me tell you, driving 35 mph on I-20 from Canton to Tyler was not fun!  We made it back safely and even got to pick the doggies up early.
I am editing this to say that the reason we were driving so slow was because of a freakish southern snow storm that blew throught the I-20 corridor.  It was bad all the way to Tyler, but by them time we got to Shreveport it was just a wet mess.  I should be thankful considering my sis and Ian were hold up in there apartment in Atlanta for a few days because of all the ice and snow.
